The government is clearly trying to destroy the Liberty Dollar business. And as the Defendant's Answer points out in Paragraph 233, the FBI raid on the Liberty Dollar was a classic example of the type of political oppression code-named COINTELPRO that date back to the 1960s and found to be a violation of the Privacy Act, 5 U.S.C. § 552.
Political Oppression that Wreaks!
Unfortunately, the brazen audacity of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to attack political organizations is nothing new. But to raid a large national political organization such as Liberty Dollar p! articipating in a hotly debated presidential election is un! heard of , and wreaks of political oppression. The title of a commentary by the Great Depression economist, Richard H. Timberlake, Jr., PhD, puts it right: "Gestapo raid on coin-producing enterprise."
As authorized by the Search and Seizure Warrants, the FBI raided NORFED - National Organization for the Repeal of the Federal Reserve Act and the Internal Revenue Code. Can there be any doubt that NORFED was a political organization? It was openly opposed to laws passed by US Congress, the non-Federal non-Reserve IOUs that pass as "legal tender" fraud and an oppressive tax scheme that is universally despised by every "taxpayer" and a growing body of non-taxpayers! Its name, sheer size and the booming success of its fund raising product, Liberty Dollar, obviously caught the attention of the federal authorities and they took the only action they t! rust - Attack!
It's a given that every federal investigation begins with a wiretap. That is clear, simple and SOP. So there is every reason to accept as fact that the attack on the national Fulfillment Office of NORFED was specifically timed to confiscate the Ron Paul Dollars and the new Peace Dollars for maximum impact. There is no doubt that the FBI knew when the two-ton shipment of Ron Paul Dollars would arrive and they planned their attack for just two days after delivery to damage the Ron Paul campaign. This is wrong and grossly unconstitutional! This was clearly "political oppression" of campaign material. Just imagine what 60,000 campaign buttons, T-shirts or anything means to a political campaign. But WOW, just think what $60,000 Ron Paul Dollars would have accomplished at that critical time in Congressman Paul's campaign.
And this is no little campaign for dogcatcher. This was, and still is, a presidential ca! mpaign by a well-established, 30-year US Congressman for the P! resident of the United States! This is the most important political election in the country! And the Federal Bureau of Investigation goons confiscated over $100,000 worth of presidential campaign materials!!! This was nothing short of a Nazi style attack to eliminate the competition. This is an assault on our right to political expression as guaranteed by the First Amendment. This sucks big time! F!@#$#@ the FBI!
The attack on NORFED and Congressman Ron Paul's presidential campaign cannot be allowed to stand. In our Answer we demand the immediate return of all Ron Paul Dollars, Peace Dollars and all my political materials that were seized on November 14, 2007. We have less than 30 days until the Republican National Convention, September 1-4 and need that material now.
The FBI attack on NORFED was the same oppressive tactics they employed against the Peace Movement in the 1960s. Its code name then was COINTELPRO: "Counter Intelli! gence Program." It was used against John Lennon, Timothy Leary, Martin Luther King and thousands of other innocent people dedicated to a peaceful society.
COINTELPRO (Counter Intelligence Program) was a series of covert and clandestine projects/attacks conducted by the FBI aimed at investigating and disrupting dissident political organizations within the United States. The FBI used covert operations from its inception; however, the formal COINTELPRO operations took place between 1956 and 1971. The FBI motivation at the time was "protecting national security, preventing violence, and maintaining the existing social and political order." Sound familiar?! Targets included Groups suspected of being subversive, such as student political organizations; those in the non-violent civil rights movement, almost all groups protesting the Vietnam War; and even individual student demonstrators. The directives governing COINTEL! PRO were issued by FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover who ordered! FBI age nts to "expose, disrupt, misdirect, discredit, or otherwise neutralize" the activities of these movements and their leaders. If you went to college in the 60s you were spied on.
Guess what? The same FBI is still spying on you today! Recent news accounts have disclosed a burgeoning government (Pentagon, NSA, FBI, CIA, etc.) campaign for "detecting, identifying and engaging" internal enemies that include a database of personal information. The FBI is using "national security letters" to obtain secret access to your personal records and tens of thousands of Americans. And the National Security Agency's interception of telephone calls and e-mails from the United States - without notice to the federal court that has jurisdiction over domestic spying - had been going on since 1978. OK… so maybe you had some privacy from 1971 to 1978. But not NOW!
In the same month that NORFED was attacked, The W! ashington Post disclosed an exponentially growing practice of domestic surveillance under the USA Patriot Act, using the FBI's "national security letters." Originally created in the 1970s for espionage and terrorism investigations, the letters enable the FBI to secretly review the private telephone and financial records of suspected foreign agents. But the hated Bush regime, referring to the Patriot Act, transformed the purpose of those letters to permit clandestine scrutiny of U.S. residents and visitors who are not alleged to be terrorists or spies!
This series of revelations about domestic spying that have emerged in the past few months are always defended in the name of fighting "terrorism." This argument is a complete and utter lie. There is no doubt that these programs against NORFED, the Liberty Dollar, you and me have been enacted, enabled and deployed to stifle constitutionally protected domestic polit! ical dissents. The proverbial handwriting is on the wall. T! he US go vernment is against the very People who created it. And to make matters worse for you, me, the economy, your children's education, etc., the government stands for war… war… and more war! Enough! This is NOT bullshit… it is a crime!
Excuse me, but what the hell is the FBI doing spying on you and me? And why did they raid the Liberty Dollar? Why did the FBI confiscate the Peace Dollars and Ron Paul Dollars?! To kill political dissents. Clear and simple!
When I did six years in the 60s at Kansas State University, the person who published the radical "student" newspaper turned out to be an FBI agent! I now know he was part of the government COINTELPRO. The only difference between Kent State and Kansas State was that the government did not murder four students at K-State. The only difference between the FBI raid on NORFED and a raid on your home is that I have already been raided. Liberty Dollar Cites FBI Seizure as Covert Action against Ron Paul Campaign
Demands the Immediate Return of Two Tons of Ron Paul Dollars
EVANSVILLE, INDIANA - Liberty Dollar Group announced today that it has filed an Answ! er in Federal Court for the immediate return of thousands of g! old, sil ver, platinum, and copper Liberty Dollars - including two tons of Ron Paul Dollars - seized in a FBI raid on November 14, 2007.
The group denounced the confiscation as political oppression of the Ron Paul presidential campaign and asserted that the seizure of the Ron Paul Dollars constitutes an attack on its First Amendment right of political expression. They point that in addition to the Ron Paul Dollar with a presidential candidate engraved on the front, the Peace Dollar features the Statue of Liberty torch with STOP THE WAR - clearly an 'expressive act' with political intent protected by the Bill of Rights.
The defendant's Answer to the government's Complaint says the federal government has no right to hold the currency, since it does not "constitute contraband or other property subject to seizure." And that the seizures violate the plaintiff's First, Fourth and Fourteenth Amendment rights.
Von NotHaus says h! e's "beyond outraged" over the government's brutal oppressive behavior. "It was bad enough that the U.S. Mint branded us as criminals for exercising our right to freely exchange the private gold and silver currency," he said. "But interfering with Ron Paul's presidential campaign is clearly a Gestapo tactic."
The agents based their search and seizure warrants on an affidavit that the currency was being marketed illegally as legal tender. This claim is denied strenuously by Bernard von NotHaus, the fiery monetary architect of the currency. He points out that the primary point of the marketing was that it was NOT legal tender and that the Liberty Dollar is a private voluntary barter currency.
Robert J. Stientjes, the plaintiff's attorney, asserts in the Answer that the affidavit does not constitute a prima facia allegation of probable cause. His motion also points out that "without the misle! ading depictions of the size, weight and color… ther! e is no probable cause for issuance of the warrants."
The plaintiffs explain that the Ron Paul Dollar was created to give citizens the opportunity to own valuable metals, while providing important support for the Ron Paul campaign. They say they intended to make a significant donation for every Ron Paul Dollar issued.
Von NotHaus points out, "The US dollar has lost over 50% of its value in the last ten years, while the Liberty Dollar has appreciated by 500%! Would you rather make five times your money or lose half of it? I think the government is trying to crush our inflation-proof currency plus Ron Paul's free market and peace campaign in a single stroke."

My biographical listing in Wikipedia was deleted last week after being on line for about five years. The reason is that Wikipedia's high-level editors claim I am a conspiracy theorist and a promoter of quack cancer cures. Apparently they do not agree with my view that there are hidden agendas in banking and government and they do not favor my defense of natural health without drugs.
It is strange that they have no problem listing Hitler, Stalin, Mao Tse Dong, Al Capone, or even John D. Rockefeller's father William Avery Rockefeller who, according to Wikipedia: "was a quack doctor and a confidence trickster." Nevertheless, the editors of Wikipedia find me to be so offensive that I had to be removed from the Internet lest my ideas contaminate the public mind.
There probably is nothing that can be done about this, but if anyone has any suggestions, I would like to hear them – especially if any attorneys think that legal action might be appropriate. It's not that I am so important, but there is a principle here that needs to be defended. It has something to do with the First Amendment of the Constitution.
In a ceremony that received virtually no attention in the American media, the United States and Canada signed a military agreement Feb. 14 allowing the armed forces from one nation to support the armed forces of the other nation during a domestic civil emergency, even one that does not involve a cross-border crisis.

The agreement, defined as a Civil Assistance Plan, was not submitted to Congress for approval, nor did Congress pass any law or treaty specifically authorizing this military agreement to combine the operations of the armed forces of the United States and Canada in the event of a wide range of domestic civil disturbances ranging from violent storms, to health epidemics, to civil riots or terrorist attacks.
In Canada, the agreement paving the way for the militaries of the U.S. and Canada to cross each other's borders to fight domestic emergencies was not announced either by the Harper government or the Canadian military, prompting sharp protest.
"It's kind of a trend when it comes to issues of Canada-U.S. relations and contentious issues like military integration," Stuart Trew, a researcher with the Council of Canadians told the Canwest News Service. "We see that this government is reluctant to disclose information to Canadians that is readily available on American and Mexican websites."
The military Civil Assistance Plan can be seen as a further incremental step being taken toward creating a North American armed forces available to be deployed in domestic North American emergency situations.
The agreement was signed at U.S. Army North headquarters, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, by U.S. Air Force Gen. Gene Renuart, commander of NORAD and U.S. Northern Command, or USNORTHCOM, and by Canadian Air Force Lt. Gen. Marc Dumais, commander of Canada Command.
"This document is a unique, bilateral military plan to align our respective national military plans to respond quickly to the other nation's requests for military support of civil authorities," Renuart said in a statement published on the USNORTHCOM website.
"In discussing the new bilateral Civil Assistance Plan established by USNORTHCOM and Canada Command, Renuart stressed, "Unity of effort during bilateral support for civil support operations such as floods, forest fires, hurricanes, earthquakes and effects of a terrorist attack, in order to save lives, prevent human suffering an mitigate damage to property, is of the highest importance, and we need to be able to have forces that are flexible and adaptive to support rapid decision-making in a collaborative environment."
Lt. Gen. Dumais seconded Renuart's sentiments, stating, "The signing of this plan is an important symbol of the already strong working relationship between Canada Command and U.S. Northern Command."
"Our commands were created by our respective governments to respond to the defense and security challenges of the twenty-first century," he stressed, "and we both realize that these and other challenges are best met through cooperation between friends."
The statement on the USNORTHCOM website emphasized the plan recognizes the role of each nation's lead federal agency for emergency preparedness, which in the United States is the Department of Homeland Security and in Canada is Public Safety Canada.
The statement then noted the newly signed plan was designed to facilitate the military-to-military support of civil authorities once government authorities have agreed on an appropriate response.
As WND has previously reported, U.S. Northern Command was established on Oct. 1, 2002, as a military command tasked with anticipating and conducting homeland defense and civil support operations where U.S. armed forces are used in domestic emergencies.
Similarly, Canada Command was established on Feb. 1, 2006, to focus on domestic operations and offer a single point of contact for all domestic and continental defense and securities partners.

Now, Bernard finds himself a victim of the government (or should we say bankers – I suppose the terms can be used interchangeably) and is likely to face criminal charges. Now, Bernard finds himself a victim of the government (or should we say bankers – I suppose the terms can be used interchangeably) and is likely to face criminal charges. As you probably know, the Liberty Dollar offices and warehouses were raided and all platinum, gold, silver, copper, and any other metals/materials, records, computers, you-name-it were taken by the so-called “authorities.” Despite running this honest business for nearly 10 years, the government waited until just recently to make its big move. This move also curiously came after Bernard and the Liberty Dollar sued the government for statements released about the Liberty Dollar.
The fact of the matter is that every American has been victimized by our dishonest monetary and banking system. The use of fiat currency – “money” created almost out of thin air – literally worth less than the paper on which it’s printed, has caused our dollar to lose nearly 97% of its buying power in the last 100 years. The trend is continuing, and even accelerating at this point. Each and every day, more “money,” in the form of digital ones and zeros mostly, is injected into our economy, causing the buying-power of the dollar to drop further, and bringing it closer and closer to extinction.
Article 1, Section 10 of the Constitution for the United States of America:
“No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts;”
Unfortunately for all of us, since we borrow our paper, fiat, scrip money from the private banking cartel – the Federal Reserve – we no longer own our wealth. The States have allowed the federal government to pass off its borrowed paper as payments for debts. We carry debt notes – IOUs – promissory notes – whatever you want to call them. We carry these instead of GOLD or SILVER certificates or coins that one can actually own. We’ve traded our national wealth of gold and silver for this paper – the bankers conned us out of our money!

Shaun, Lana, and the others behind this collection are still working to help Ed & Elaine while they are in prison. They are working to raise money for ongoing legal defense, as well as money to help make Ed & Elaine comfortable while in prison. Elaine's Affidavit on Events of Their Kidnapping
Ed and I were captured in the evening of Thursday October 4th 2007, after making our stand in our home since January.
The previous weekend, Dutch/Dan was introduced to us by one of our trusted friends and supporters. He and Dutch/Dan arrived unexpectedly at our home very late one night, around midnight as I recall. Dutch/Dan had been working his way into the confidence of our friend for some time, professing to be a supporter and sympathizer of us and our cause.
Dutch/Dan stayed with us for a day or so, offering to aid us in any way. He claimed to be a bounty hunter, living in New York someplace. I do not recall if he said exactly where. He asked to have some broken fillings replaced, which I did, and for which he paid me (which of course was then confiscated). When I told him I wanted to get the rest of my dental supplies from my dental office, he offered to get them for me. He went back and forth to New York a couple of times during the week, so he said, getting in touch with some associates to assist him in getting the supplies. He scouted out the office to see what kind of security was there. Again so he said.
I had asked him why he would take such a risk for someone he didn’t even know his answer was "because I love you guys"
I remember those exact words
On October 4th he arrived with 4 of his associates some of them, I don’t recall if 1 or 2 of them, remained at the house and were in telephone contact. They said there was an alarm on the office door, but they could get around it. Dutch/Dan had told us that he would love to get the supplies out of the office, that it would be a lot of fun to grab stuff from the feds.
They actually brought bags full of "supplies" (?) to the house they put everything in the garage. I never did get the opportunity to look in the bags, but I assume it was supplies in case I did open the bags when they brought them in.
Dutch/Dan also brought 3 pizzas, and we broke out the beer, we all sat on the front porch eating pizza and drinking beer, just relaxing. Suddenly they all jumped us. Dutch/Dan was sitting on my right, and he grabbed me securing my hands. Once he had me secured, one of the others tazered me on my left knee. The other four men had Ed on the floor, they had actually forced him out of his chair, through the front door, and onto the foyer floor we were immediately handcuffed. I behind my back. My memory of Ed is he was handcuffed in front and shackled feet and waist.
Shortly thereafter, Ed was driven to the Lebanon police dep. I was kept at the house for about another hour. Our dog Zoë was so frightened and confused. Fortunately she has a very sweet and passive personality, so she was not killed but was safely taken to the local humane center, as was our cat Amelia.
I was then taken to the Lebanon police dept. as we were driving there, on the road leading to our road; we passed 6 or 8 vehicles traveling together toward our house. Also after we were captured, several men in full bdu's heavily armed arrived at the house. thus there was a very large contingency of Marshalls, if that’s who they all were, gathered to come in. had we not been subdued as we were, I have no doubt they were prepared to kill us. All this for violating a law that does not exist.
Upon arriving at the Lebanon police dept. I saw Ed in a holding cell. I was taken to a cell out of sight of Ed. I saw on the wall of my cell "nhfree" so I know this was the cell Lauren Canario had been placed in. hi Lauren! One of the Marshalls kept telling me how glad he was that we were not shot. That they really didn’t want to hurt us. Of course they didn’t think, of the bad p.r. it would bring them.
He was shouting at Ed at the police station, about how he (Ed) broke the law, etc... This man alternated between concern and verbal abuse. He is the one who kept his hands on me the whole time, from the handcuffing to the police station. I don’t know if that is part of their training, or if he has a mental problem of some kind. for example, while at the house he held me by the arm even though I was handcuffed and surrounded by a number of armed men, he started shouting in my ear about my crime, how I should have paid taxes, how wrong we were, etc etc. i told him I would not respond to him, so he should stop talking to me. He said he was going to talk as much as he wanted, and I had no choice but to listen to him. I just tuned him out by praying silently.
After an hour or so, I was taken from the police station. I passed by the cell Ed was in. we kissed through the metal screen. That is the last time I saw my husband. I was not told where I was being taken. I was taken to the Wyatt detention center in central falls R.I. (a cosmic joke that is the city I was born in) unknown to me Ed was brought to the same place. I was driven here on Saturday morning, but Ed was kept there for almost a week.
While there I was kept in an observation room on suicide watch. I was not allowed to get my glasses or my meds from the house before I left. Friday night I had an asthma attack, and had to have a nebulizer treatment. I was not given any asthma meds until Monday night here, and then it was only due to my constant asking and kindness of a physician’s assistant, and after having to have another nebulizer treatment. I am ok but Ed has been and continues to be mistreated. He is still in isolation at Elkton, and our mail to each other is being held. My only word of him is from others who have been able to communicate with him.
Dutch/Dan was very good. Ed and I had our suspicions, but we let our guard down. Perhaps the situation was starting to get to us. I know I was starting to get itchy about being unable to leave, and having to rely on others. It had to end one way or another, and so it has.
We know god has a plan and we all have a part to play in it. He leaves it up to us to decide if we will play that part. Ed and I made the decision to do so. Looking back years ago when we started this. We did not realize that is what we were doing. But now we know why it always felt so right to us; we did what our hearts led us to do. What god has planned for us, all of us, from now on is up to him. To let us know in his own time.
That does not mean that I sit here and do nothing. I have met some amazing women here who have opened my eyes to a new path in our quest for freedom. We are working along that road now, in our continuing effort to expose the fraud in our government. Is this why I am here? Only the future will tell.
Be brave, stand up to oppression; injustice to one is injustice to all. Anyone who does not fight is part of the problem. That seems harsh, but these are harsh times!

THE LIBERTY DOLLAR HAS BEEN RAIDED BY THE FEDS!!!
Dear Liberty Dollar Supporters:
I sincerely regret to inform you that about 8:00 this morning a dozen FBI and Secret Service agents raided the Liberty Dollar office in Evansville.
For approximately six hours they took all the gold, all the silver, all the platinum and almost two tons of Ron Paul Dollars that where just delivered last Friday. They also took all the files, all the computers and froze our bank accounts.
We have no money. We have no products. We have no records to even know what was ordered or what you are owed. We have nothing but the will to push forward and overcome this massive assault on our liberty and our right to have real money as defined by the US Constitution. We should not to be defrauded by the fake government money.
But to make matters worse, all the gold and silver that backs up the paper certificates and digital currency held in the vault at Sunshine Mint has also been confiscated. Even the dies for mint the Gold and Silver Libertys have been taken.
This in spite of the fact that Edmond C. Moy, the Director of the Mint, acknowledged in a letter to a US Senator that the paper certificates did not violate Section 486 and were not illegal. But the FBI and Services took all the paper currency too.
The possibility of such action was the reason the Liberty Dollar was designed so that the vast majority of the money was in specie form and in the people’s hands. Of the $20 million Liberty Dollars, only about a million is in paper or digital form.
I regret that if you are due an order. It may be some time until it will be filled... if ever... it now all depends on our actions.
Everyone who has an unfulfilled order or has digital or paper currency should band together for a class action suit and demand redemption. We cannot allow the government to steal our money! Please don't let this happen!!! Many of you read the articles quoting the government and Federal Reserve officials that the Liberty Dollar was legal. You did nothing wrong. You are legally entitled to your property. Let us use this terrible act to band together and further our goal to return America to a value based currency.
